"Recently my wife mentioned she wanted to redo the decor of our living room. To set the stage, the room was not well lit with a dark traditional style area rug that was very large.
The sofas were caddie cornered and the room was cluttered with pictures, from the mantel to the walls. We had a budget set and needed help. We reached out to Jackie whom we have known for a few years. We had seen some of the home decor and restorations she had done and were really impressed by them.
We sent her some pictures and gave her a few ideas of what we thought and liked. Now I will say, we are not finish with the room yet. However, we are well on the way to adding value, comfort and practicality to our once dark and dismal living room.
I was concerned that I did not have a centrally located light fixture to give off light in the room. We had lamps behind couches. Yet with simple practical advise such as changing the lamp shades and moving the lamps to the foreground it brighten the room dramatically.
